Our pipeline crosses multiple variables:

• Deficit in Protective Functions: If the butyrate marker is low, strains with proven butyrogenic activity (e.g., Clostridium butyricum MIYAIRI) or Bifidobacterium strains that provide acetate to boost cross-feeding are recommended.
• Presence of Active Dysbiosis / Pathobionts: If there is an excess of pro-inflammatory markers or translocation of proteobacteria, competitive exclusion strains with high epithelial adherence are prioritized (e.g., Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG or L. plantarum 299v) to restore "colonization resistance".
